Rajkot: Delhi was in some trouble, at 61for three, in reply to Saurashtra's imposing first innings total of 492 here on Tuesday. Akash Chopra might have been slightly unlucky in being adjudged leg before, as the ball appeared to pitch outside leg stump; but had Shikhar Dhawan been held at third slip, the visiting side might have struggled to reach 50 at close of play. Five Saurashtra batsmen completed half-centuries; one of these, C.A. Pujara, compiled 139, his second successive Ranji century. Delhi managed to stage a temporary comeback before lunch after fast bowler Ishant Sharma had got rid of Sitanshu Kotak for 95, three wickets fell for 15 runs. But Pujara, in the company of K. Makvana, frustrated Delhi; and then last man S. Maniar compounded Delhi's grief by notching up 57. The scores: Elite Division: At Rajkot: Saurashtra 492 in 163.2 overs (S.D. Jogiyani 61, S.H.
