YSR hosts Christmas feast

  • Prefers to spend time at his estate

    KADAPA: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, his family members and relatives offered prayers at CSI Church on YSR Estate premises at Idupulapaya in Vempalle mandal on Tuesday.

    Dr. Reddy and family members hosted a feast to their relatives, estate workers, officials and police personnel guarding the estates.

    Kadapa Member of Parliament Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, Chief Minister's son Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Kamalapuram legislator G. Veerasiva Reddy and Rajampet legislator K. Prabhavathmamma, participated.

    Mr. Veerasiva Reddy later told newsmen that the Chief Minister assured him of sanctioning a road over bridge and a railway bridge at Kamalapuram and a road linking Kamalapuram, Yerraguntla, Rayachoti and Lakkireddipalle.

    Nandikotkur legislator Challa Ramakrishna Reddy, Kadiri legislator Jonna Seshaiah and MRPS State president Dandu Veeraiah Madiga called on Dr. Reddy and extended Christmas greetings.

    Dr. Reddy rested in his guesthouse on the estate premises from 2 p.m. He went for a stroll in the evening and watched the pomegranate plantations, jersey cows and vermi compost yard.

    Dr. Reddy preferred to spend time at his estate today.

    He will leave for Hyderabad on Wednesday morning.

    Meanwhile, the police officials did not permit Sudarshan, Putlur mandal TDP unit president in Anantapur district, Nagi Reddy and Pullaiah of Yellanur in Anantapur district and their followers who came to represent local problems to Dr. Reddy.

    Rs. 80 lakhs are required for undertaking repairs to Subbaramasagar distribution channel for releasing water from Boppepalle tank to cater to irrigation and drinking water needs of 15 villages, they told newsmen.
