KURNOOL: The Telugu Desam Party plans to storm sub-stations on December 28 to press their demand for proper power supply to agriculture sector. Talking to reporters on Tuesday, its district unit president Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy said the erratic supply had crippled the farmers in the district. According to him, farmers made heavy investments and cultivated the crops which were in final stage. Failure at this juncture would result in heavy losses. He said it was the moral responsibility of the Government to ensure supply to farmers as it had come to power on the single slogan of free power to agriculture. He accused the Government of being busy with covering up land scams and of having no time to attend to farmers' problems. At Nandyal, Adoni and Nandavaram, the protest would be held on Wednesday as was announced earlier, he said.
