Two killed, one injured in militant attack

Srinagar: Two persons, including an Army jawan, were killed and another injured in a militant attack at Wachi in Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, a defence spokesman said.

Militants opened fire on two civilian vehicles carrying Army personnel at Wachi in which two jawans and a civilian driver were injured. While the driver and one of the jawans succumbed to their injuries, the other jawan was taken to the Army base hospital here. The area had been cordoned off and a search operation was launched to nab the militants. — PTI
