THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Polio oral vaccine would be administered to children across the State on January 7 and February 11 as part of the State-level Pulse Polio Campaign of the Health Department. Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy told a news conference here on Tuesday that around 30 lakh children aged below 5 years would be administered the vaccine. The vaccines would be administered through 23,568 booths to be set up all over the State. Besides Government and private hospitals, primary health centres, anganwadis, schools, bus and railway stations and airports would have pulse polio booths. Ms. Sreemathy said the Government has taken all steps to ensure the quality of the vaccine.
