Anna Nagar has one more park

Visveswaraya Tower Park given a facelift

Chennai : Anna Nagar has a new park to add to the neighbourhood's greenery.

On Tuesday, Electricity Minister Arcot N. Veerasamy inaugurated the park at `C' block and re-opened the Bougainvillea Park, which was renovated by the Chennai Corporation.

The famous Visveswaraya (Anna Nagar Tower) Park has also been given a facelift.

The new park in Anna Nagar ``C'' block has a variety of flowering plants, a 190-metre walkway and a children's playground. It was developed at Rs. 5 lakh.

The Bougainvillea Park in Anna Nagar East was renovated at Rs. 6 lakh. It has a 340-metre walkway and a playground. In the Visveswaraya Tower Park, the Corporation has built new fountains and a block of toilets. Mayor M. Subramanian as well as the Corporation Commissioner, Rajesh Lakoni, participated in the official functions.
