KOCHI: A fishing boat, missing between Kochi and Beypore for two days, was found by fishermen around 16 nautical miles off Munambam on Sunday night. The vessel was tugged by two boats to the Munambam Fishing Harbour. Sivan and Sebastian from Kumbalanghi, workers on the boat, were safe, but fatigued by starving. Nadeen Nisa was returning to Beypore after repairs here. According to the men, after a day of sailing, its gearbox developed a snag. The searches conducted by the Beypore and Munambam control rooms, Marine Enforcement and Coast Guard had failed to locate the boat.
