Sale of fish market opposed

HYDERABAD: Local fishermen on Tuesday said they would thwart the reported attempts of the Government to sell off Begum Bazar fish market premises to private companies.

Andhra Pradesh Fishermen Association city committee convenor B. Narsinga Rao and co-convenor A. Sreeramulu, in a press release, said the land was granted to fishermen community by Nizam rulers some 300 years ago.
