Astrology course

Soiled notes

Vijaya Bank, Rajajinagar, Cox Town, Sarakki and Moodalpalya branches will be exchanging soiled and mutilated notes for coins on January 21, February 18 and March 18 from the general public. Those interested may make use of this facility.

BESCOM drive

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) on Wednesday launched a drive to detect power theft. The massive anti-theft drive was conducted in Kolar, Venkatagiri Kote, and Chintamani sub-division. Thirty-seven criminal cases were booked. The raid was headed by M. Pradeep Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police and H.B. Neelakanthamurthy, Executive Engineer, BESCOM Vigilance, along with other staff.

New institute

Manipal Hospital has introduced Manipal Institute of Liver and Digestive Disorders, which will be a dedicated unit for treatment of liver and digestive diseases. The integrated unit comprises of gstroenterologists, gastrointestinal surgeons, therapeutic endoscopists and interventional radiologists. The major thrust areas for the centre will be liver transplantation and bariatric surgery.

First Flight's service

First Flight Couriers has announced the addition of Bangalore to its recently started aviation operations. With this the company is now offering direct connectivity between the main trade hubs of the country — Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi.
