Keshava Rao faults PJR, Sashidhar

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president K. Keshava Rao has expressed displeasure over the statements made by city Congress MLAs — P. Janardhan Reddy and M. Sashidhar Reddy — on Pothireddypadu head regulator issue.

Speaking to reporters after holding a meeting with the two MLAs here on Thursday, Dr. Rao said it was not appropriate on the part of the legislators to air views on an issue which was supported by the majority.

Dr. Rao, however, said the MLAs' view that an expert committee, comprising representatives of the three regions and headed by a person from other State, could be considered. He said there had been discussions on Pothireddypadu head regulator within the party and there was no opposition to use of floodwater. The only concern that was being expressed was over use of assured water.
