Speaker releases poster of bank meet

HYDERABAD: Assembly Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy on Thursday released a poster of the 7th All India conference of Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI), marking the formation of a reception committee under his chairmanship to ensure that all arrangements were in place.

The four-day conference between January 7 and 10 will be inaugurated by MP and Polit Bureau member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Sitaram Yechury in the presence of secretary, Centre for Indian Trade Unions, W.R. Varadarajan and general secretary, All India Insurance Employees Association, K. Venugopal.

In a press release, general secretary, BEFI, B. Sudhakar said the meet would discuss among other things, the developments in the banking industry for the past 15 years and their impact of the common man, rural development and the economy at large.
