Bidar: The Bidar Utsav, the three-day cultural extravaganza came to an end on Friday. City Municipal Council president Chandrashekar Patil declared the utsav closed. He said the festival would go a long way in improving the city's image and promoting tourism. The festival was being organised after a gap of 12 years but he promised the people that it would be an annual affair. Agriculture Minister and district in-charge Bandeppa Kashempur, Deputy Commissioner Munish Moudgil, and utsav advisory committee president S.G. Patil, were present. The efforts of various departments, the utsav advisory committee, the Zilla Sanskritika Parishat, andthe Ishwar Koujalagi Trust that funded the kite festival, the Durga Network that broadcasted the Utsav live free of cost via cable TV in the fort city, and others were acknowledged.
