`Road Safety Week' from tomorrow

HYDERABAD: The 18th Road Safety Week of APSRTC will begin on January 1 across the State .

A State-level meet on `Road safety' will be held on January 4 at APSRTC Kala Bhavan here, where Transport Minister K. Lakshminarayana will felicitate 21 drivers with accident-free service (three from each zone and Hyderabad city region) with cash awards and certificates.

From 2007 onwards, the first, second and third rankers from each zone will get cash awards of Rs. 2,750, Rs. 2,250 and Rs. 2,000 respectively , said Executive Director (Operations) B.R. Anand.
