Kerala wins overall title

MUMBAI: Kerala dominated the 52nd National Schools Athletic meet organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services for Maharashtra here on Saturday by winning the overall title and four of the six team championships.

The results (Winners only): Boys: U-19: 5K Cross Country: Bhau Lambar (Mah) 15:19.4; 800m: Soren D. (Ori) 1:55.34; Javelin Throw: Jatinder Singh (Pun) 64.83; Long Jump: Bhartender Singh (Har) 7.52; Relay: 4 x 400m: Kerala 3:21.84;

U-17: 800m: Baljeet Yadav (Har) 1:58.38; Shot Put: Jasdeep Singh (Pun) 16.26; Hurdles: 110m: Joyal Joseph (Ker) 15.53; Hurdles: 100m: Sabha Bhagat (Mah) 13.84; U-14: 600m: Swanthar Raj (Ker) 1:24.73; Long Jump: Bineesh Shaji (Ker) 6.32; Hurdles: 80m: Swanthar Raj (Ker) 11.26.
