Bangalore: Students from the EMDI institute of event management have taken upon themselves the mission to spread awareness about careful and responsible driving in connection with on New year Eve celebrations. About 30 students from the institute are distributing `name tags' to passersby to drive home the point that New Year can be welcomed with fun and caution. "The tags have the names and emergency contact numbers in case something untoward happens," says the event co-ordinator Vachana Shetty. The campaign started on December 29. As part of their campaign, they have distributed tags at Garuda Mall, Forum Mall, MG Road and Brigade Road. On Sunday, their site of action is Cunningham road and Brigade road. "We are quite encouraged by the response we have received. We have distributed about 10,000 tags over the past two days," says Ms. Shetty.
