Decision on revenue staff lauded

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association (APRSA) has expressed happiness at the Government's decision to have a village-level functionary exclusively for revenue work, reporting to MROs, soon to be re-designated as Tahsildars.

At a press conference here on Saturday, K. Laxmaiah and N. Ananda Rao, president and general secretary, respectively, termed the decision `well-justified'. Such functionarieswould facilitate revenue administration.
