Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Lower Income Families Encouragement (LIFE), a city-based NGO on Friday organised an awareness campaign against drunken driving at Khairatabad. The campaign, according to the organisers was held in view of the New Year celebrations which would see several people driving in an inebriated condition. A small tent was erected at Khairatabad junction and students holding placards with slogans against drunken driving interacted with motorists. However, none of the Government officials who were invited , including city traffic police chief A.K. Khan and MCH Commissioner Sanjay Jaju turned up.
