FACT imports ammonia

KOCHI: As part of its cost reduction efforts, Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) has begun importing ammonia. The first consignment of 7,200 tonnes of ammonia from Saudi Arabia was unloaded at the Cochin Port on Sunday, said a press release here.

The imported ammonia will be used for production of Factamfos at FACT's Kochi division. Ammonia will be brought to Ambalamedu using rail wagons, said the release.
