Antony greets defence personnel

KOCHI: Defence Minister A.K. Antony has extended his New Year greetings to the armed forces personnel.

He said in his message: "New Year is a time for fresh hopes and new expectations. Reflecting on the year that has gone by, my thoughts go out to our jawans who lost their lives while performing their duties in inhospitable terrain and adverse climatic conditions, living away from their families. "

He wished that the New Year ushers in peace, prosperity, goodwill and happiness for all members of the armed forces.
