Reforms in school education in A.P. soon

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to take up reforms in school education that have been long overdue.

In an informal chat with reporters here on Monday, Secretary of School Education P. Krishnaiah said a high-level committee was being constituted for the purpose with the Director of School Education as Chairman.

The members would include Project Director of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, Director of State Council of Educational Research and Training, educationists and experts.

Mr. Krishnaiah said recruitment of untrained teachers by private schools was another issue that the committee would study.
