Photographers to be honoured

NEW DELHI: Ten photo artistes from both India and abroad will be honoured at "Photography Awards-2006" at the All-India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS) on Rafi Marg here this coming weekend.

Organised by the Academy of Visual Media, Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to Virendra Prabhakar from Delhi; Ahmed Ali from Kolkata; T. N.A. Perumal from Karnataka; Debatosh Sengupta, Director of the Photo Division of the Government of India; Li Qianguang from China; K.C. Marfatia from Mumbai; and B.K. Aggarwal from Andhra Pradesh.

Mala Mukherjee from Kolkata and Jagdeep Rajput and Rajinder Kr. Wadhwa, both from New Delhi, will be honoured with Achievement Awards.
