Gautham wins title

HYDERABAD : P. Gautham defeated Narlekar 9-1 in the final round-robin league match to win the Asif Tennis Club year-ending open tennis tournament here on Monday.

Earlier, Gautham put it across K. Srikanth 9-5 and T. Sreedhar 9-3.

Office-bearers

A. Ravinder of HMT Bearings was elected general secretary of the Hyderabad State Ball Badminton Association at its general body meeting here.

Easy for Cistron

Cistron 243 for two in 20 overs (Bharath 180, Jayakrishna 44) bt Melgiri 107 for six.

Talwar Hyundai 176 for five (Sanjeev 109) bt Capco 148 for five (Susheel 61, Kunal 47).

Seta 142 for nine (Raju 50, Seshagiri 45, Anil four for 22) lost to Guzzlers 143 for eight.
