Distribution of free dhotis, saris begins at Polur

Velu inaugurates scheme in Tiruvannamalai district

CHENNAI: Food Minister E.V. Velu on Monday inaugurated the distribution of free dhotis and saris at Polur in Tiruvannamalai district.

Over the next 10 days, 3.28 crore people across the State will get free dhotis and saris ahead of Pongal. The saris and dhotis will be distributed through the Public Distribution System (PDS) outlets.
