CHANDIGARH: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan has extended New Year greetings to the people of the State, especially the people of his constituency Kalka. In a statement here on Monday, he said the State Government had implemented several welfare schemes for the benefit of all sections of society. "The Congress Party's commitment to providing a transparent and clean administration has been fulfilled by the Government by giving concessions to the people under the sagacious guidance of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda." Thanking the people of Kalka constituency for giving him unstinted support, Mr. Chander Mohan said he was committed to making Kalka the No. 1 constituency in the State. He announced that the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) would spend Rs.63.74 crore for the development of new areas and maintenance of services in Panchkula town. He assured them that his top priority was to provide ample potable water and develop Morni as a tourist hub. Meanwhile, Mr. Hooda will inaugurate the upgraded Community Health Centre in Kalka on January 4.
