Lucknow: Under attack from various political parties for the serial killings of children in Nodia, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police, Bua Singh has sought a detailed report from the SSP, Noida, R. K. S. Rathore into the incident, official sources said here. ``Yes, the DGP has sought a detailed report into the incident from SSP Noida,'' IG, Law and Order Praveen Singh told PTI but could not elaborate on the details. The State government has already constituted a two-member committee headed by Home Secretary Arun Kumar Singh. The committee has been asked to submit a detailed report within three days, they said. Skeletal remains and body parts of 17 children were recovered in Noida of which 10 had so far been recognised through photo identification or on the basis of clothes and other belongings, they added.
Tension in Mau
Mau: Recovery of the body of a missing child in a village here on Monday sparked tension in the area, the police said. Family members of the eight-year-old child attacked the house of the suspect and tried to set it ablaze in Sarai Lakhansi Police Circle in village Kathauli in the district leading to tension in the area, they said. The child has been missing for the past few days and an FIR was lodged in this connection, SP (Mau) Ashutosh Kumar said. PTI
