HYDERABAD: A cable operator Sadanandam, 34, who allegedly murdered his partner Raghu two years ago, was stabbed to death at L.B. Nagar on Monday. Believed to be a vengeance killing masterminded by Raghu's associates, the murder was committed when Sadanandam went to Nandanavanam Colony on a motorcycle around 1 p.m. Three unidentified persons wielding knives waylaid him and stabbed him several times. Later, they intercepted the motorbike of two masons passing by and sped away on it. Sadanandam of Azampura in Old City and Raghu of Chaderghat were childhood friends. They jointly took cable operator rights at Nandanavanam Colony but developed differences after a while. L.B. Nagar police Inspector V. Surender Reddy said Sadananam and his three associates allegedly murdered Raghu in September 2005 in Saroornagar. He was subsequently arrested. He was released on bail in March 2006 and recently began demanding a share in the cable operator business, which was being managed by Raghu's associates. "We have information that Raghu's associates are behind the killing. Efforts are on to identify the killers," the Inspector said.
