THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Flag day was observed by the RYF in the city on Monday in connection with the party's State-level meeting from January 18 to 21. A public meeting and rally was also held as a part of the flag day. — Staff Reporter

Traffic regulation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Owing to the maintenance of Nandavanam-Bakery road, transportation facility in the region has been regulated. Vehicles going towards Bakery road should proceed through the service road near the Palayam Underpass or Spencer Junction. — Staff Reporter

BSNL bill payment

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The last date for payment of telephone bills with surcharge is January 5. The bills can paid at the Central Telephone Exchange, Central Telegraph Office, counter at Pattom, Janasevakendras, telecom centres and post offices. The subscribes who have not received the telephone bills can also pay the amount by indicating their telephone numbers at any bill counters other than post offices. — Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Bank of Travancore, Sanghumughom branch conducted a special customer meet in connection with the New Year. The meet was inaugurated by Bank's Assistant General Manager V. Prabhakaran Nair. Branch manager N. Udaya Kumar delivered the vote of thanks. — Staff Reporter

Two killed in accident

THIRUVANANTHAPRUAM: Prasanthan, 25 and Shibu, 26, both of them residents of Velarkkuzhi in Attingal, were killed on Monday night after the motorcycle on which they were travelling rammed into a road divider near Kollampuzha bridge.

They were brought dead to the Medical College Hospital.
