Medical expo begins

KURNOOL: A medical exhibition in connection with the Golden Jubilee of Kurnool Medical College got off to a start here on Tuesday.

Hundreds of medical exhibits are on display at the expo, which will be on till January 10.

Zilla Parishad chairman L. Venkata Swamy, MLAs Gangula Pratap Reddy, E. Pratap Reddy, Mayor S. Raghurami Reddy, Collector M. Dana Kishore, APMHIDC Managing Director Aravind Reddy, Principal Sudharamani and Hospital Superintendent Anjaiah were present.

The MLAs promised to mobilise Rs 1 crore from their constituency funds for the development of the hospital and medical college. Philanthropist G. Pulla Reddy had promised another Rs 1 crore for the hospital some time ago.
