CHENNAI : The annual management festival of the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras Samanvay 2007 to be held from January 5 to 7 with the theme `Celebrating Synergy', will bring together the best student minds in the country to showcase their talent and learn from the wisdom of the corporate world. To be inaugurated by SEBI Chairman M. Damodaran and CMD of Indian Bank Dr. K. C. Chakrabarty, the `Samanvay 2007' boasts of 10 core events catering to every field in management. `Fort Knox', an online event, sponsored by Apollo Sindhoori Capital Investments, provides an opportunity for students to invest in the Indian equity market through real accounts for a month. `Saaransh', a paper presentation event, will kick off the proceedings on January 5. Three events make up January 6 `Spin Doctors', a PR strategy game sponsored by Henkel India, `Mentorz', a HR case study and `Brand Wars', a branding event sponsored by the LIC. Then follows the Indian Bank-sponsored panel discussion among eminent speakers from the corporate world on the topic, "Human Capital: The Supply Demand Gap". The final day starts off with informal events such as Out-Bound Training in IIT Madras to break the lazy Sunday mood. They would be followed by `E-Strategia', a retail strategy game sponsored by UniverCell. `Trailblazers', a marketing strategy game sponsored by Indian Terrain, and `Cyclops', an operations game, would follow.
