Former MP joins Congress

NEW DELHI : As part of the preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Congress on Tuesday admitted the former Samajwadi Party MP, Dara Singh Chauhan, into the party. Mr. Chauhan, who belongs to the Other Backward Classes, hails from Azamgarh in eastern Uttar Pradesh and represented the SP in the Rajya Sabha.
