Awareness drive on voter enrolment

Vijayawada : An awareness campaign on the importance of enrolling oneself as voter will be held in the city for five days from Wednesday.

The programme will be held in schools and colleges from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every day. Those who are above 18 can attend the programme to know the importance of right to vote and the procedure to enrol their names in electoral rolls.

Pension

Payment of pensions to aged people, widows and physically challenged will be held at the offices of the municipal divisions concerned from January 5 to 12.

Payments will be made between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. every day and the beneficiaries can get the amount by producing the proof of their identity.
