Sangareddy: Telangana Rastra Samthi's Medak in charge and Ramayampet MLA Padma Devender Reddy has asked the in-charge Minister and Minister for School Education N. Rajya Lakshmi to convene the District Development Review Committee (DDRC) meeting within a week to discuss pertinent issues bogging down the district. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, she pointed out that the in-charge Minister had never fully reviewed the implementation of schemes in the district where as the meeting was supposed to be held once in three months. She wanted the DDRC meeting to be extended to two days so as to take up all the departments for discussion. She said that TRS had been asking the State Government to announce Medak as drought hit. She said that only nine mandals of the district had been included in the list where as 75 per cent of mandals were reeling under drought conditions.
