MYSORE: Over 100 residents of Gandhinagar in Mysore, who have been denied their regular quota of kerosene for the last several weeks on account of the confusion in distribution of ration cards, staged a demonstration at FTS Circle in the city on Tuesday. Holding empty cans of kerosene, the protesters shouted slogans against the officials of Food and Civil Supplies Department for the delay in completion of the fresh survey ordered by the Government to set right loopholes in distribution of ration cards. Even though the Government admitted that the distribution of ration cards had been faulty and ordered a fresh survey of beneficiaries to identify families, which are below poverty line, the exercise was being unduly delayed, convenor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Gandhinagar Residents' Welfare Committee Sharath S. said.
