Machilipatnam : Pandemonium prevailed in the meeting of the municipal council here on Tuesday when councillors of the Telugu Desam Party charged the Government with not releasing sufficient funds for development of the municipality. TDP floor leader E. Rajasekhar alleged that the officials were extending a step motherly treatment towards the wards represented by the opposition party while releasing funds given by the DFID. Even under National Slum Development Programme (NSDP), funds were not being released to execute development works in wards represented by the TDP, they said.
36 proposals
TDP councillors Md. Khaza, M. Babaprasad and M. Veeraswami criticised the ruling party for neglecting development works and spending the funds without any justification.
