Websites jam, CAT results inaccessible

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: About 1.77 lakh Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-aspirants waited anxiously for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2006 results on Tuesday, as the IIM websites that declared the percentile scores were inaccessible, jammed by heavy traffic.

The IIMs declared the results on Tuesday night, but the list of candidates shortlisted for each institute and individual results were out of bounds. Websites of IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Lucknow and Bangalore failed to open even hours of waiting, while the IIM Kozhikode was accessible for a few minutes.

List of candidates

All the six IIMs except IIM Lucknow are expected to announce their shortlisted candidates on Wednesday.

IIM Lucknow is expected to come out with its list before January 8.
