PATHANAMTHITTA: The 10-day annual festival at Sree Parthasarathy Temple in Aranmula will be held from January 11 to 20. Unlike previous years, the Travancore Devaswom Board will conduct the festival this year in the absence of a temple advisory committee at the temple. The `kodiyeettu' ceremony will be held on January 11 and tantri Rakesh Narayanan Bhattathiri of Paramboor Ilom will hoist the ceremonial flag between 11 a.m. and 11.30 a.m., marking the beginning of the festival. A ceremonial procession carrying flowers for the `Pushpabhishekom' will be held from the Vilakkumadom temple at Edarayanmula to Aranmula earlier. The sixth Parthasarathy Sangeetotsavom will be held on January 12. Vocalist Mathangi Satyamurthi will inaugurate the event at 8 a.m. The `Utsavabali Darshan' will be held at 1 p.m. on January 13. The `Garudavaahanam Ezhunnellippu' in connection with the festival will be held on January 15. The `Pallivetta' ritual will be held on January 19 evening. Ottanthullal, Velakali and a `ganamela' by playback singer M.G. Sreekumar will be the cultural attractions of the day. The festival will come to a close with the `Arattu' ceremony on January 20.
