NEW DELHI: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has been able to maintain punctuality in its services even in the wake of thick fog that has thrown air, rail and road traffic out of gear for the past few days. Officials at DMRC said Metro trains "maintained 100 per cent punctuality during the foggy conditions in the Capital last week." The Metro trains made all the 1,108 trips in a day without any delays. Citing the reason for the faultless service, DMRC officials said the Metro trains are equipped with the most advanced signalling systems available worldwide. The Automatic Train Operation and the Automatic Train Protection with computerised train control and central monitoring ensure safe and punctual running in all types of weather conditions. All signal clearances can be viewed inside the driver's cabin.
