Road safety week observed

CHENNAI: Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College for Women, Parrys, organised a rally on Monday. It was flagged off by Transport Minister K.N. Nehru.

The college also held various contests such as slogan writing, poetry , quiz, mime, painting and singing with the theme `Road safety.' The winners of the competition were awarded prizes on Wednesday at a function in which V.P. Ethirajan, regional transport officer of Chennai East, and A.K. Dayanidhi, assistant commissioner of police, Royapuram, participated.

College principal T.V. Jayalakshmi and correspondent P. Sri Ramulu also spoke.
