Law student commits suicide

CHENNAI : A girl student studying second-year law in a college in Puducherry allegedly committed suicide at her residence in Washermenpet area here on Wednesday. Police said that the reason for the extreme step was not known, but the victim, identified as Aishwarya (22), had hanged herself in a room in her house on Inspector Subburayalu Street.

Woman dies

A newly married woman was found dead in her house in Avadi Tank Factory police station limits. Police said Kumari was married to Arumugam, a CRPF policeman, three months ago. She was found dead in her house.

An RDO enquiry has been ordered, the police said.
