RYF anti-imperialism week organised

Thiruvananthapuram: The anti-imperialism week organised by the Revolutionary Youth Front (RYF) will conclude on Sunday 7 p.m. in all the districts with a pledge against imperialism. This was announced in a release issued by RYF State president Kovoor Kunjumon and secretary Salim P. Chacko.

Admissions open for vocational courses

Thiruvananthapuram: Admissions have begun for the various vocational courses for women organised by the Kerala State Jawahar Balabhavan. The courses include drawing and fabric painting, drawing and hand embroidery, machine embroidery, drawing and shadow embroidery, craft, glass painting and pot decoration, lamination (hand and machine), croche work, mat work and paper bag making. Employees urged to wear Khadi

Thiruvananthapuram: The Government has urged the employees to wear traditional Khadi or handloom clothes on Saturdays from January in order to provide employment to the workers of the sector and to preserve the Kerala style. An official press note issued by the Government in this connection here on Wednesday asked the employees to ensure that the dress did not hamper the work in any way. It exempted the uniformed sections from the reform. — Special Correspondent
