The State was also procuring the stocks from Maharashtra and Karnataka, he added. Reviewing the prices of essential commodities with officials of the Civil Supplies Department, Dr. Reddy said that the chief executive officer of Indira Kranthi Patham would procure 20,000 tonnes of red gram and APMarkfed another 10,000 tonnes. Markfed would also buy black gram and green gram through the market intervention scheme from the farmers. While the APOilfed would supply palmolein through Rythu Bazaars and fair price shops, Girijan Cooperative Corporation would supply tamarind stocks.
