Two child workers rescued

HYDERABAD:
The National Child Labour Project (NCLP) has rescued two children who were employed as workers at homes in Punjagutta and Jubilee Hills here on Wednesday.
In the first instance, the NCLP rescued Gowri (11) who was found employed at a flat owned by the family of a builder at Padmaja Srinivas Apartment in Srinagar Colony. Gowri, said to have been employed for a salary of Rs.700, was sent to the Girls Hostel at Tallagadda and according to NCLP city project director Siraj-Ur-Rahman, a case was booked with Punjagutta police against the family which employed her.
The NCLP team also got a case booked against a woman employee of BSNL after a girl was found employed at her residence at BSNL Quarters, Jubilee Hills Road No. 68. Rekha (7) was found in the locked residence. The employer was summoned by the NCLP team, Mr. Rahman said.
