HMWSSB staffer arrested on graft charge

HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday arrested an employee of Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Enagula Rama Rao, at his office on the charge of receiving Rs. 16,000 bribe from a contractor.

Rao was working as manager of Jeedimetla engineering section and allegedly demanded the bribe to prepare the final bill of a work executed by the contractor, a press release said. The tainted amount was seized from him. He would be produced before a special court.
