Quarterfinalists spotted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Quarterfinalists were spotted in both the sub-junior boys and girls' singles sections respectively in the 34th National sub-junior carrom championship at the Muslim Association Hall here on Thursday.

In the sub-junior boys section, Umar Tanveer, D. Sriram, A. Vigneswaran, K. Tamil Selvan, K. Srinivas, E. Rakesh, Md. Faiz and Md. Adil entered the quarterfinals. Deepika, Suruchi, Farheen, Nivetha, S. Sarayu, S. Srilaxmi, Maitreyi and M.S.K. Harika moved into the last eight in the girls' section. The results (pre-quarterfinals):
