CHENNAI: Kurukshetra 07, the first student-run inter-college technology festival at Anna University, Chennai, has taken off.

The organisers say Kurukshetra will be a hunting ground for quiz aficionados across the country. The Open Quiz, to be held on the afternoon of January 6, and the Business Quiz on January 7 are open to the public (in addition to college students).

The prize money to be won in these quizzes alone is Rs.1.2 lakh. Famous quizzers Navin Jaykumar and Gopal Kidao will host the quiz. While the Open Quiz is sponsored by Infosys, the Business quiz is sponsored by TVS Tyres. Both are to be held at the Vivekananda Auditorium in Anna University's Guindy campus. Guest Lecture series, one of the most anticipated events in any technical festival, is another highlight.

The series aims at presenting speakers in the field of management, design and science and technology to the students. All this, in addition to the usual events like business plan, robotics, modelling events and software contests.
