Huge win for Tiruvallur

CHENNAI: K. Sriram (226 not out), Abilash Chandran (108 not out), and N. Arun (match figures of nine for 39) helped Tiruvallur DCA defeat Krishnagiri DCA by 403 runs in the TNCA inter-District under-19 cricket tournament.

The scores: At Chennai: Tiruvallur 384 in 73 overs (K. Sriram 226 n.o., Abilash Chandran 108 n.o.) and 148 for six decl. in 30.2 overs (E. Ashwin 88, T. Balasubramaniyam three for 44, R. Prakash three for 32) bt Krishnagiri 65 in 24.5 overs (N. Arun six for 15) and 64 in 23.4 overs (N. Arun three for 24, K. Kishore three for 11, Vijay Govind four for eight).

At Tiruchi: Puducherry 334 in 95.5 overs (T. Mohanraj 97, R. Devendran 75, K. Balamurali 52, R. Ganesh five for 69, B. Gokulakrishnan three for 32) & 100 for six in 27 overs (S. Balraj 36) drew with Tiruchi 192 in 54.5 overs (E.M. Jose Mithun 50, R. Ganesh 33, G. Terrance Savio 31, M. Ayyappan four for 54, A. Salim four for 47). Puducherry won on first-innings lead.

At Vellore: Villupuram district 150 (M. Sridhar Raj 32, R. Sridhar 32, A. Ziaullah Sheriff four for 5) and 128 for eight (Murugan five for 42, Ziaullah Sheriff 3 for 33) drew with Vellore district 217 (Fayazullah Sheriff 73, D. Ramesh 46, R. Raja six for 56). Vellore won on first-innings lead.

At Dindigul: Salem 165 and 72 for six in 12 overs drew with Dindigul 338 in 105.3 overs (N. Veeramalai 72, M. Mohamed Rafik 109, P. Gokul 30, B. Gopi 48, Venkatapathy three for 68). Dindigul won on first innigs lead.

At Tirunelveli: Tirunelveli 168 and 163 in 56 overs (M. Pradeep 67, Vivek Aadheenam four for 34, Somasundaram three for seven) bt Sivagangai 95 in 40.2 overs (Arulanandam 25, Rajasekar three for 17) and 117 in 15.5 overs (Selva Ganapathy 29, P. Meenakshi Sundaram six for 15).

At Coimbatore: Tiruvannamalai 269 in 114.1 overs (V. Murali 93, M. Kumaresan 52, Kamarudeen 33, Sathyaraj 34, Madhu four for 61, Gautham three for 40) drew with Coimbatore 295 for seven in 69 overs (K.R. Sethumadhavan 72, M. Shah Jahan 71, R. Hari Prasad 40, C. Madhu 35 not out, P. Rajasekhar three for 34, Kamarudeen three for 40). Coimbatore won on first-innings lead.

At Erode: Kancheepuram 304 for eight in 76 overs (K.M. Ramachandran 55, Kevin Sukumar 76, M. Deepak 73 not out) drew with Erode 160 in 84.2 overs (S. Nithyanandam 53, A. Yuvaraj 40, R. Pandiyarajan three for 22, E.J. Karthik four for 20). Kancheepuram won on first innings lead.
