ECE students told to motivate children

VIZIANAGARAM: G.S.N. Raju, Dean, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Andhra University, underlined the need to pursue innovative technologies for the benefit of the society. Addressing the gathering at the inaugural function of National- level students technical symposium - SPACETECH-07 at MVGR College of Engineering here on Wednesday, he said, following vast development in communication technology, engineering students could motivate young children to come up with new ideas, and suggested internship before completing their course.

P.L.P. Raju, member, college governing body, who inaugurated the symposium, suggested that students visit schools in rural areas and kindle their enthusiasm in the field of electronics and communication. K.V.L. Raju, Principal, said more than 500 technical papers from colleges across the country were received for the SPACETECH. While detailing the application of various electronic mechanisms in the field of remote sensing, mapping, bio-medical etc, he said education must have social relevance.
