CHENNAI: Centuries from Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Yogesh Nagar, and Anshul Gupta helped Delhi take the first innings lead against Bengal and qualify for the semifinals of the under-17 Vijay Merchant Trophy cricket tournament. Uttar Pradesh also booked a spot in the last four by virtue of the first innings lead. The scores: Uttar Pradesh 213 and 304 for seven decl. in 122 overs (A. Dixit 37, U. Sharma 50, Mohd. Khalid 48, Bhuvnesh Kumar 50 not out, R. Ahmed 34 not out, J. Karia three for 75) drew with Gujarat 129 and 145 for three in 34 overs (Priyank Panchal 92, Mohd. Khalid three for 59). Bengal 350 drew with Delhi 436 for six in 135.3 overs (Saurab Passi 65, Anshul Gupta 100, Yogesh Nagar 101, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav 125). At Jaipur (Plate group): Kerala 126 in 40.2 overs (P. N. Anfal 53 not out, S. Senthilnathan five for 48) & 170 in 62 overs (PN. Anfal 61, S. Senthilnathan three for 29, M. Kaushik Gandhi six for 48) lost to TN 461 in 155.2 overs (M. Kaushik Gandhi 125 not out, Garry Antony Dumenil 106, Abhinav Mukund 65, I.T. Tabarak Baik 55, J. Joel Joseph 31, Sachin Mohan four for 84, Philip K Joseph three for 90).
