BANGLAORE: Mahesh Bhupathi hailed the Indian duo, Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna on their stunning show in the Hopman Cup in Perth. "It was an amazing run and Rohan played a superb match against Mario Ancic on Wednesday and Sania is getting better with every singles match. They have so far played some unbelievable tennis in mixed doubles and it is great for India," said Mahesh Bhupathi in a chat with The Hindu here.
Mahesh said that he hoped to play good tennis with Stepanek during this season. "I have played with him and against him also and he is a very good player. He had made it to the semifinals at Adelaide and is in good form. We get along very well and if we jell early on the tour, nothing like it", said Mahesh. On defending the mixed doubles title with Martina Hingis at the Australia Open, Mahesh said, "it hasn't been decided yet. I will sound her out when I get there and if she is ready, we will team up again", he said. Mahesh, who had skipped the Chennai Open citing a wrist injury, said that it was getting much better and he was back at serious practice and hitting the ball pretty well. "I am feeling much better and hope for a good start down under," he said. Special Correspondent
