Two records set
DHARWAD: Two new records were created on the inaugural day of the Karnatak University's inter-collegiate athletic meet held at the Rani Channamma Stadium here on Wednesday.
While Shilpa Magalad of Karnatak Arts College, Dharwad created a new record in the women's 100m hurdles (15:06 sec; Old record 15.21)
S.B. Akshata of the same college broke her own record, which she had set last year in Jamkhandi in the women's long jump event (5.88m; Old record 5.67m).
Other results: Men: 800m: Chidanand Akkiyavar; 110m hurdles: H.D. Channadasa; Shot put: R. Sharatraj; Long jump: S.H. Sankannavar.
